Unlocking Sustainability: A Conversation on Navigating the Nexus of Food, Climate, and Marketing

In this recorded conversation, I join Kristen Winzent and Merrill Feather of The Regenerates to co host the first session of the series “Shifting the Narrative to Create a Sustainable Food System,” a sequence of meetups for marketers and sustainability professionals to explore the nexus of food, climate, and conscious eating and discuss how we can create a more sustainable food system. This conversation addresses the importance of involving marketers in mitigating the climate crisis, shifting focus from consumption to engagement, overcoming practical barriers in sustainability work, and understanding the differences and challenges between larger legacy brands and smaller sustainability-focused CPGs. Additionally, it explores the role of values and identity in shaping cultural trends and making abstract concepts like “food,” “climate,” and “carbon footprint” more tangible.
